The Township of Greater Madawaska is located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, surrounded by rivers, lakes, and mountains, and offers the small-town feel mixed with country living at its best! The township is growing each year and expanding while maintaining the history and country living lifestyle. The Township is home to roughly 3,000 permanent residents throughout the year, with an influx of seasonal residents and vacationers during the summer and fall seasons.

Are you a Finance professional looking to make a difference in a rural community? The Township of Greater Madawaska is recruiting a Treasurer. This is a full-time position.

The Treasurer is a key member of the leadership team, who is responsible for managing all financial affairs, including budgeting, procurement and asset management, audit, revenue, and pay and benefits.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of general municipal accounting and supervisory experience and completion of post-secondary education in business administration or finance. The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, and has the ability to work well with others and lead a team.
