Lanark County is currently recruiting for a Housing Services Maintenance Worker. This is a temporary, full-time position that includes on-call evenings and weekends. This role has a starting date of October 23, 2023 and will run until approximately April 5, 2024.

The Housing Services Maintenance Worker will maintain county-owned assets, specifically social housing, to standards that ensure safety and well-being for the tenants, guests, staff, and the general public. This position will follow all guidelines for employees as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and corporate/departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Secondary school diploma
  • 1-2 years related experience in building or facilities maintenance or construction
  • Certifications or training in fall arrest, working at heights, water damage restoration, fire or smoke damage restoration, pest control certification, mold abatement or asbestos abatement are considered assets
  • Residential property maintenance experience is an asset
  • Ability to receive and respond to instructions and provide pertinent information
  • Able to complete forms and maintain records of work performed
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Prior customer service experience is an asset

This position is evaluated at Level 6 ($26.81-$30.82 per hour) of the 40-hour 2023 OPSEU salary grid.
