Description:

Glengarry Memorial Hospital is recruiting for a Registered Practical Nurse. This is a regular, full-time position.

The Registered Practical Nurse will provide nursing services, within a defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures. These services include taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques, ensuring infection control and monitoring patient progress.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current certificate in BCLS (HCP)
  • Excellent attendance record and punctuality required.
  • Team player.
  • Proof of double COVID vaccination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (English-French) – to be tested

Tuition Reimbursement

The Tuition Support Program for Nurses is part of the government's commitment to provide more families with access to primary health care, and to support the recruitment and retention of nurses to rural and remote areas across the province. This program offers tuition reimbursement to recent nursing graduates from rural and remote communities who are new College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registrants and who choose to do a return-of-service (ROS) in an eligible community. The program is open to nurse practitioner, registered nurse and registered practical nurse graduates who apply within one year of having graduated from a Canadian university or college.
