We are seeking a Construction Project Coordinator with experience in all aspects of residential renovation and new wood-frame construction. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications
• Devise, enhance and communicate deliverable timelines; review project requirements, scope and resources to make accurate assessments based on contractual scope of work
• Manage and administer phases of projects for company records; follow up with subcontractors and clients to ensure project deliverables are completed on time
• Accurately manage and maintain employee and subcontractor hours; allocating personnel to appropriate job tasks
• Regularly reconcile invoices and quotes from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that all costs are within budget and is in the scope with agreements and contracts
• Prepare material purchase and change orders for subcontractors
• Perform field work at project sites as required by the Senior Project Manager and CEO
• Assist in evaluation and solution of potential field problems, referring them to the Senior Project Manager
• Provide assistance to other Team members as required
• Other duties as assigned within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management

• Completion of civil engineering technician course, or equivalent
• Civil engineering experience is an asset
• Experience in residential interiors and exteriors in both renovations and new construction
• Experience in understanding scopes of work and ability to create and interpret construction working drawings
• Ability to maintain an overview of the entire project while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience in this field of expertise in the Canadian home construction environment
• Strong mathematical aptitude, problem solving skills, coordination and organization skills
• Familiar with legal requirements, especially health and safety
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, a Microsoft environment, GIS and other relevant software programs
