Industrial Electrical Apprentice

We currently have an opening for two Industrial Electrical Apprentices. These are full-time positions.

Under the supervision of a licensed Industrial Electrician, the Apprentice will be responsible for assisting licensed Industrial Electricians with installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Licensed Electricians to install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical control devices (such as VFD, PLC and other electronic devices), wiring and equipment
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment
• Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
• Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications
• Ability to work at heights and exposure to hot and cold environments
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum grade 12 education
• Must be committed and able to attend college during this apprenticeship program (442 License)
• 2nd or 3rd year apprentice would be preferred
