Description:

The Municipality of Trent Lakes is seeking a person to fill the position of permanent, part-time Transfer Station Attendant. Summer hours are approximately 27 to 35.5 and winter hours are approximately 20 to 25 per week depending on the site location. This is a unionized position.

Qualifications
  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of one-year experience performing job-related duties;
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Environment and Climate Change as well as Ministry of Natural Resources regulations;
  • Knowledge of hazards and applicable safety rules;
  • Demonstrated communication skills including the ability to listen, responding with tact and courtesy;
  • Proven ability to exhibit a high level of initiative, work performance and responsibility in the performance of duties;
  • Ability to process straight forward financial transactions as they relate to tipping fees and dog licenses;
  • The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and applicable holidays;
  • Reliable transportation to any of the four transfer station sites.
