The Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada is now recruiting to fill the full-time position of Communications Co-ordinator, based in Ottawa.

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Affairs and working closely with the Program Manager, National Communications, the Communications Co-ordinator assists in planning, executing and measuring the success of a wide range of communications programs and initiatives, including content production, co-ordination and delivery for web, e-newsletters, social media, print, special events and media relations. In co-operation with other staff, they will also participate in marketing CHF Canada membership and services.


The successful candidate will have:

  • a degree or diploma and at least one year’s experience in public/community relations, communications, journalism and/or marketing;
  • the ability to work effectively and with minimal supervision under pressure of high volumes of work with multiple deadlines;
  • superior digital literacy including web maintenance (Wordpress) and social media platforms and with marketing databases (Salesforce) and photo and video editing;
  • excellent communication skills, including speaking, writing and editing, and plain-language style.  

Bilingual fluency (French/English) is required.

Additional Information
