The Hospital is located in Cornwall, Ontario, on the St. Lawrence River within 100 km of both Montreal and Ottawa (www.choosecornwall.ca). The hospital serves acute, in-patient, out-patient and community based clients.

We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Emergency Department.

Job Summary:

In collaboration with the current Manager of Emergency Services and the Senior Director of Critical Care Services and Operating Room, the Manager plans and directs the activities of the Emergency Department to ensure excellent patient care and emergency services to community and surrounding areas. The Manager collaborates with the team ensuring the Emergency Department is achieving its annual goals and budget targets.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other related health science 
  • Current registration in good standing with the respective college of health professionals where the candidate is registered 
  • Recent related clinical experience 
  • Nursing supervisory or management experience 
  • Computer literacy and experience with an electronic health record 
  • Excellent people, time management, financial management and organization skills 
  • Knowledge of collective agreements and experience working in a unionized environment
