We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department. This is a permanent, part-time position.

Reporting to the Manager of Nursing Services, the incumbent is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients and their families in the outpatient emergency department.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of acute care experience in an active treatment setting.
  • Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current B.L.S. Certificate.
  • A.C.L.S. Certificates or willingness to attain at own expense.
  • Emergency course or ENC.
  • Triage training or willingness to obtain.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing Process and the Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently at times without supervision.
  • Demonstrates good assessment, judgment, decision-making and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an emergency department.
  • Coronary Care certificate.
