The Township of Champlain will receive applications for the seasonal (winter) position of Driver (patrolman, loader operator, snow plough driver) for the public works department. The working hours are on-call, 7 days/week shift work including days, evenings, nights, and weekends starting in mid-November 2019 to the end of April 2020, this is subject to change at the discretion of the Director of Public Works.
- Experience in operating a plough truck
- Class D-Z licence
- Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment
- Able to get to the garage within 20 minutes following the phone call from the Director of Public Works (or designate)
- WHMIS and other safety-related courses would be an asset
- Ability to communicate in French and English (verbal and written)
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
