SFHF is currently seeking to hire a diligent, detail oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Administrator. This is a full-time position.


  • Prepare daily bank deposits and scan cheques for direct bank deposit
  • Post cash receipts daily to appropriate customer accounts
  • Obtain backup from customers for all deductions from remittances
  • Maintain complete and accurate accounts receivable files
  • Work with sales team members to resolve and approve trade spend-related deductions
  • Issue customer trade spend related credits
  • Work with customer to obtain repayment for invalid deductions
  • Work with customer to collect past due amounts
  • Complete weekly and month-end reporting as required
  • Generate and distribute customer account statements
  • Perform credit checks and investigate credit requests
  • Identify bad debts, review aged listings
  • Liaise with sales reps, customer service personnel and customers
  • Process pricing adjustment credits as needed
  • High school diploma (minimum); diploma in business, finance or accounting is an asset
  • A minimum of two years of relevant accounts receivable and bookkeeping experience, cash application and customer deduction resolution
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong research, problem solving and time management skills
  • Above average math and computer skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel) and bookkeeping software
  • High degree of accuracy, efficiency and accountability
  • Detail oriented and a critical thinker
  • Ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deal with changing priorities
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and internal departments
