As an ideal candidate, you possess a university degree in a relevant discipline (communications, public relations, public administration, etc.) as well as 8+ years of progressive leadership experience and expertise in community development, communications, public relations, and media relations. A relevant mix of education and practical experience is also acceptable.
Highly strategic and forward thinking, you have a strong business and financial acumen and demonstrated experience in program, policy and process development and implementation. You are skilled in the development of short and long-term plans to cultivate strong corporate communications, at all levels, both internally and externally.
You are an outstanding relationship builder capable of fostering positive relationships based on trust within the OPS, with community groups, partners, key stakeholders and with the media. You are a true team player who is politically astute, collegial and collaborative by nature.
An excellent problem solver who is creative and solutions oriented, you are comfortable with ambiguity and working within dynamic environments where crisis management and the need to work with dedication and agility is the norm. You are highly resilient and adaptable, and deeply respected for your passion for client service and the community.
Though not a mandatory requirement, bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
